Fibrous hulls

Soybean hulls are the external membranes around the soybean and
form a fiber rich by-product in the processing of soybeans to high protein soybean meal and soybean oil.

Before entering the extraction process, the soybeans are cracked and the outer fibrous fraction is removed in a mechanical and pneumatic way.
Soybean hulls represent  about 5% of the soybean weight and are rich in crude fiber .
They are a key element in the digestibility system of the ruminants.
Soybean hulls have a low density and are pelletised in order to facilitate
the treatment and storage as well as to reduce transportation costs
