The two Vandamme Group sites are located in Belgium and Hungary. Both sites contain crushing and extraction sections. Furthermore, Deinze in Belgium also accommodates a refinery.

The two production units are Oliefabriek Vandamme nv and Vandamme Hungaria Kft together with Veda Trading nv handling transactions. nv.

In Belgium, the company produces corn germ and sunflower oil, whereas it extracts oil from soya beans and corn germ in Hungary.

The Vandamme Group is currently the market leader in the production and refining of corn oil in Europe.

The two factories are deliberately located near waterways. Inland navigation is a fast and environmentally-friendly alternative that can replace or complement other forms of transport. For the Vandamme Group, it is a sustainable means of transport that is reliable and safe, with numerous economic, ecological and social benefits. The factory in Belgium is located next to the important Seine-Schelde link. The site in Hungary is situated alongside the Danube, which comprises the main connection between Western and Eastern Europe.

In both factories, raw materials as well as finished products are brought in and sent out via the water.

Our factory in Hungary has a direct rail connection for the receipt and dispatch of raw materials. Vegetable oils are loaded into dedicated rail tankers or in flexitank containers for overseas export markets.

In order to keep the logistical impact of our activities as low as possible, we have invested in extensive storage in horizontal as well as vertical silos, in order to take receipt of raw materials at the sites during harvest time. These investments fit in with the company vision to keep the social and environmental impact as small as possible while maximising quality and flexibility.
